Provincial Nominee Program
A real 1,000-point Expression of Interest grid, and a 2026 change that closed the most common graduate pathway.
Skilled Worker Overseas runs on a published 1,000-point Expression of Interest grid: up to 500 points for human capital (language, age, work experience, and education) and up to 500 for "Manitoba adaptability" — genuine connection to the province through family, prior study or work, or an invitation letter from a Manitoba employer. Manitoba can also deduct up to 200 points for demonstrated work or study ties to another Canadian province, though mere interest in another province, or a relative living there, no longer triggers a deduction. Top-ranked candidates receive a Letter of Advice to Apply; Manitoba's largest single 2026 draw issued over 2,100 invitations in one round. Skilled Worker In-Manitoba is a direct, non-competitive application (still requiring 60 of 100 points across the same five factors, just without ranking against other candidates) for people already working locally with a long-term full-time offer. The Business Investor Stream keeps separate entrepreneur and farm investor categories requiring active management.
Manitoba's Skilled Worker Overseas EOI grid weighs human capital and provincial adaptability equally. Answer a short set of factual questions and see how your profile lines up — before you spend a cent on paperwork.

We'll ask the right questions for your actual path — no generic form.
Manitoba closed the Career Employment Pathway of its International Education Stream on June 11, 2026 — the route most graduates used to move from a Manitoba credential straight into nomination. Graduates now generally route through Skilled Worker In-Manitoba instead, once they've built at least 6 months of in-province work experience. If your plan assumed the old graduate pathway, it's worth confirming the current route before you build a timeline around it.
Every provincial program changes on its own schedule, and Manitoba's is no exception — the summary above is preliminary and requires RCIC review against your actual file.
