How PEI PNP works
PEI scores every Expression of Interest against a published 100-point grid — age (up to 20), language, education, work experience, employment/job offer, and adaptability (close family in PEI, PEI property, or graduation from a recognized PEI institution) — plus up to 10 bonus points for proven bilingualism (English and French), pushing the effective ceiling to 110. PEI doesn't publish a fixed minimum score: it ranks whoever is in the pool and invites top-down every month, so the real cut-off moves with each draw — 2026 rounds have invited anywhere from the mid-20s to over 195 candidates depending on the pool. Labour Impact categories (Skilled Worker, Critical Worker, International Graduate) each require a PEI job offer; the Express Entry category draws on federal-pool candidates with provincial ties or employment. The Business Work Permit Entrepreneur pathway requires a minimum net worth of $600,000 and investment of $150,000, plus age 21-59 and CLB 4 language, establishing and actively managing a PEI business on a work permit before nomination.
