The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program consists of three categories:

Through SINP, potential immigrants with the skills and experience required by the province can obtain the Saskatchewan Provincial Nomination Certificate, which will allow individuals to apply for permanent residence in Canada.

Each of these categories has one or more subcategories. Below we will provide you with additional information about each of them to help you determine if SINP is a good fit for you.

International Skilled Worker Category

This category accepts applications from qualified workers who plan to live and work in Saskatchewan. Applicants may be nominated in one of three subcategories.

International Skilled Worker – Employment Offer

This subcategory is for qualified workers with a job offer from a Saskatchewan employer.

International Skilled Worker – Occupations In-Demand

This subcategory is suitable for professionals who have experience in a profession that is in-demand in Saskatchewan (which is listed under the province’s in-demand list). A job offer from an employer is not required.

International Skilled Worker – Saskatchewan Express Entry

This subcategory is for professionals who have skills that are in-demand in Saskatchewan, and allows the province to nominate the individuals who are already in the federal Express Entry pool.

Saskatchewan Experience Category

This category is intended for foreign workers who currently reside in Saskatchewan. Applicants may be nominated for one of the following subcategories:

Skilled Worker With Existing Work Permit

This subcategory is designed for individuals who have worked in Saskatchewan for at least six months under a valid work permit.

Semi-skilled Agriculture Worker with Existing Work Permit

This stream is designed for agricultural workers who have an existing work permit as a general farm worker, or as a nursery/greenhouse worker.

Health Professionals

This subcategory is designed for individuals who have worked as a doctor, nurse or other medical professions in Saskatchewan for at least six months.

Hospitality Sector Project

This stream is designed for individuals who have worked in Saskatchewan in the hospitality industry for at least six months. The employer must obtain permission from the province before the applicant starts working in Canada.

Long Haul Truck Driver Project

This subcategory is for individuals who currently work for a transport company in Saskatchewan for at least six months.

Students

This stream is designed for students who graduated from an accredited university or college in Canada and who worked in Saskatchewan for at least 24 months before their application, or at least 6 months – if the school they graduated from is in Saskatchewan.

Entrepreneur and Farm Category

This category is designed for people who intend to own and actively manage a business or farm in Saskatchewan.

Entrepreneur Sub-Category
This subcategory is aimed at entrepreneurs who intend to start up a business or become a business partner (participating in its management) while living in Saskatchewan.

Farm Owners and Operators Sub-Category
This subcategory is designed for experienced farmers with significant capital who wish to invest in farming and settle in Saskatchewan.
